How will this help me for my assessment?

Reinforcing the concepts of IVs and DVs, along with study design,types of data and confounds will help to inform your method section prior to submission. You can also build on your prior learning to work independently to add a practice loop to your experiment as this is a requirement for the experimental part of the assessment. Gaining more experience with conds files will help you appreciate how to apply the information you require to the conds file in your assessment.
